I would say a female emotional abuser, as she will start sooner than a domestic abuser generally. With her words and actions of manipulation. A male domestic abuser is going to want to lure you in be on his best behavior to get you in to a domestic relationship first. But neither can be detected on looks.

A domestic abuser, man or woman, is worse. Because it means someone is living their life in fear, and could get injured or killed. You get both male and female emotional and physical abusers.

The gender is irrelevant. Each situation would be different, so I can only speak from what I’ve personally observed.
Typically though, it’s the emotional abuser that you can see first. I find in case studies, and through relationships of those around me, the domestic abuser’s true ways come forth later in the relationship. The emotional abuser tends to start letting little things slip here & there from the get go.

You just don’t give up with these negative questions, do you? Don’t assume that only men physically abuse, and only women emotionally abuse.
Domestic abusers, male or female, do not start out that way. They don’t let their guard down until they know you are in their back pocket.
Emotional abusers, male or female, start out with passive manipulation, then spiral downward from there.

Both. You must keep your eyes wide open. Don’t go there looking for what you want but what you have right in front of you and you will see all there is to see, there are always signs, which we choose to ignore because our hopes are up so high.
