The first thing you need to do when shopping for a man is to start in the right place. In order to do this, you really have to know who it is you are actually hoping to find. Often people find making a list of the things they want or don’t want helps narrow down the field of search.

Quite often, at the head of that list is whether or not you want children. How often have previously good partnerships broke down because one party wanted kids and the other did not? Ruling out people who don’t share your hopes seems drastic but can save a lot of time, and heartache in the long run. If you are not the maternal type, dating a guy who wants to play happy families may not be a great long term prospect.
On the whole, the same rule goes for pastimes. If your interests include dancing, socialising and drinking you may not be best off looking for him in the local ornithological society.
Getting the interest you want off a guy will often mean asking them about their profession or pastimes. Finding a boy cute and finding incessant conversation about his hobby cute are very different things! Of course it is good to have some differing interests and hobbies, as long as there is plenty for you to rub along with. If you really have nothing in common, then your association may be brief. If you favor a quiet life, is getting together with someone intent on city life going to be a winner?
Maybe you are not looking for love and marriage. If all you want is a short term encounter then ignore what has been said, but if it is not, you need to think carefully about the limitations of an attraction based purely on a nice smile.
Being set up by friends may consume you with terror (especially if they are the much hated blind date) but in order to meet people you do have to go out and do a few things that perhaps you wouldn’t normally. A relaxed lunch out with friends may be easier than the ‘whoops two singletons pushed together’ at a more staid dinner party. Also you’ll have the advantage of being in a ‘neutral zone’ rather than someone’s house which might help promote a greater sense of intimacy in conversation. It might be that a bar is an appropriate setting.
If, though, you are at a party though, it cannot hurt to at least display the correct signals towards a potential suitor. Looking downwards and being introverted will not get a rush of men beating towards you! Smile, keep your head up and try and be interested in the people who come toward you. Try and think of things you have in common beforehand, if necessary, if you don’t like polite conversation very much. Turning to jelly in social events can happen to the best of us – be prepared! Be
where most of the people are in order to meet as many as possible. Pouring the drinks for other guests may be a good way of meeting and chatting to suitable men!
Want To Know More About Men and Want They Want?
Plain and simple has it place, but if you are seriously on the look out for another man you need to glam up. Sometimes, you will meet someone without expecting to, so paying more attention to your appearance will not go amiss.
Just to say it once more, relax and smile! There is nobody whose features do not soften when they smile. This doesn’t mean looking demented or insane, simply making sure you don’t appear unfriendly or uninterested. Remember – a happy personality and a pleasant disposition is a far more attractive quality than all the looks or wealth will ever be.
