I’m sure everyones dated someone they knew they wouldn’t marry but had a great time with them and figured there was plenty of time to meet the perfect person later.
My question is about what age to you start dating ‘for keeps’ or looking for someone you can spend the rest of your life with.
For Example: While in college you date the hot cheerleader because she’s fun and you wanted to go to parties and be seen with her. how old were you when you realized it was time to look for someone you could marry?
When the person you started dating for fun, you begin to see as the person you can date for keeps.
And they don’t feel the same.
I kissed a lot of frogs… and it was fun!
I never looked for a keeper and if I knew it wasn’t going to last, I had the fun, danced the dance, then split!
I broke a lot of hearts but I never felt that I wanted to be with those guys forever. I wished for a keeper, but never tried to mold a guy into one.
But when I met “the one” I knew it right away… I even thought for the first time that I’d like to have children with this man!
Started dating in high school and found my keeper at age 26.
age: 22 – when I found my true love and I know he’s the one I want to marry and no one else. we got married when I was 23.
2 kids and many years of fighting – we divorced and I was back to dating again – until I met my true love (part 2) and I swear, if this does not work out once again… I’m going out dating… again! : )
When you want to date for keeps and the person you date for fun turns into a person you love/want to keep. Otherwise, if your not really wanting to date for keeps then it won’t work out.
I am an odd one, i never dated for fun. i slept around, but never lead myself or anyone else on. been in a relationship for 2 years, last Aug 9 though. i really love her, we have known eachother for 4 years or so
I just started dating for keeps because I didn’t want to use anyone for anything. I just wanted to find that one person for me.
when you finally feel like you found the girl/guy you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, there is so certain age but i’d say like 15 or 16+. Hope that helps!
