A man usually encounters a woman through their personal and professional circle of acquaintances, thus it is not surprising if you find a female that does not belong in that group that you want to approach. So what do you do? Without the benefit of social connections, you’re going to have to learn how to approach a woman. You might view this as a big problem and end up getting discouraged, but the fact is, approaching a woman isn’t as difficult as it may seem. Most girls are susceptible of being approached, and with the right tactic, you might even be able to score a few points with the girl you’re eyeing. Eye Contact
First thing, approaching a woman does not start with the approach itself but actually starts with an eye contact.You have to stimulate awareness of each other by establishing communication through the eyes. Once you have done that, the way she looks back will give you the signal to approach or track back. Once you’ve captured her eyes with your own, it’s time to use your mouth and smile. If she smiles back, then that’s basically your signal for the next level.
Get Closer
If the girl responds positively with a smile or a nod, then it’s time to move closer. Sidle in the seat across or beside her and start with a “Hi”. If you want to take it slow, then you can just sidle in and pretend to read a book or something. You can start the conversation with a question; perhaps if she’s reading a book then you might open up by asking if the book is good. Think up an excuse and make sure it’s a good one. You can introduce yourself once she responds to your overture.
No Pick-Up Lines
Pick up lines are lame and if you want to learn how to approach a woman, then you might want to trash the whole pick-up line routine. Women have heard it and they don’t like it.Instead, wring out a situational comment and proceed from there.
Don’t Get Drunk
Some men try to increase their confidence before trying to instigate an approach.Don’t make this mistake. Be stone cold sober when you approach a woman, otherwise you will be automatically shot down even before you utter the first word.
Befriend Her Friends
Women usually go out in groups, and if you start approaching one without acknowledging the people she’s with, then you’re most likely to be disregarded. Women value their friends’ opinion, and if the friend feels slighted by you, then you won’t stand a chance.

Stop Being Goal Oriented
Some men think that that main goal is to get her phone number to continue contact. This goal usually results to a fast paced approach that turns off women. If you approach the female you like, then focus more on talking to each other, finding common ground and perhaps reciting a joke or two. Cultivate interest as much as you can. If you automatically ask for her phone number, she will reluctantly give you her number and promptly ignore your calls. However, if you manage to have her interested, then she will not only give you her phone number but would even entertain your further communication attempts.
