Look around in your local area for activities for seniors. There are some offered at various times. Be sure to sign up and participate as much as you can. You will get to meet all kinds of new people and build lasting friendships. You will definitely enjoy these times!
Something very nice that you can do for the older people is to reach out. Let them know that you care. Go visit with them and give them someone to communicate with. Play a card game with them, or bring some snacks over and just fellowship with them.
Some people are afraid to let their kids be around the elderly because the older people are more fragile. Do not let this be the case. Children usually bring so much joy to the older people. Children are amazing because they do not judge you for being old, nor do they judge you for anything major. Children just want to be loved, and they want to spend time with others just as seniors do. Seniors will gain so much joy from being around small kids.
Last of all, here is a bit of advice for the older. Do not just sit around and wait for something good to happen. Do what you can to keep yourself entertained. Meanwhile, a bit of advice for others would be to see what you are able to do for someone of an older age. You will find it so rewarding when you give of yourself to make someone happy.
